Calling all budding cyber enthusiasts aged 14 to 24!
We’re excited to announce that Cyberspark, a Belfast-based cyber security academy, is spearheading the UK and Ireland’s first Hack the Isles® competition! This groundbreaking initiative aims to spotlight Northern Ireland as a global leader in cyber security while equipping young people with essential skills for the future.
What’s In Store?
This thrilling competition will begin with a series of bootcamps taking place over the next six to eight months, each designed to help participants enhance their cyber security knowledge and skills. The bootcamp events will feature engaging lectures, hands-on activities in a simulated environment, and ongoing support from cyber security experts. These sessions will culminate in an exhilarating live final in the autumn, where the top 10 teams will showcase their skills.
Bootcamps
Format: One-day on-site event with internet access and computers provided. The programme includes:
Lectures: Covering essential topics in cyber security, from Linux Basics to Cryptography.
Hands-On Exercises: Activities on a cyber range, enabling practical experience against cyber security challenges.
Self-Study: Access to the cyber range for 3-5 days after the bootcamp for further learning.
